Winnie the Pooh - Short Story Competition

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

In December, all children from Year 2 took part in a Short Story Competition, organised by Egmont Publishers, to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Winnie the Pooh. The children were encouraged to write a short story of no more than 100 words, using one of the stories from the new anthology sequel 'The Best Bear in All the World' as inspiration.

We were very pleased to receive the phonecall to say that one of the children from Dropmore School had won! The judges loved Evie's story, particularly the strong ending. Evie's story is on the Egmont website. Please have a look, using the link.

Evie received a signed anthology, which we presented to her on Friday's Celebration assembly. She also won £500 worth of books for our library and a school trip to London Zoo for all the children in Year 2, which has been booked for the summer term!
