At Dropmore Infant School we are committed to improving achievement through attendance and we monitor attendance of all our pupils.  We monitor attendance every half term and categorise attendance levels using a traffic light system as follows:

  •         GOLD: 100% Attendance = excellent.
  •         GREEN: Attendance of 96% or more = good attendance.
  •         AMBER: Attendance between 90 and 96% = poor attendance.
  •         RED: Attendance below 90% = persistent absence (Department for Education).
We recognise good attendance in our end of term 'Celebration Assembly'.
All children with good attendance (96% or more) will receive a sticker.
All children with 100% attendance will receive a certificate.
Our approach to improving attendance is: Awareness, Support, Improvement.
We make parents aware of their child's attendance through end of term Attendance Cards and/or by sending half termly letter updates .
Please have a look at our attendance leaflet and policy below for more information.
