Safeguarding Statement

SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT

At Dropmore Infant School, we regard the safeguarding of children our main priority. We are dedicated in providing a safe, happy and supportive environment in which children can grow and develop.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Dropmore expects all staff and volunteers to share in the commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All our staff have are trained in safeguarding and effective practise and procedures.

We have a Safeguarding Team at Dropmore; the two co-Heads Miss Douglas and Mrs Waugh and the Year 1 Teacher, Miss Tolmie. All staff recruitment panels have at least one person who has completed 'Safer Recruitment in Education' training. Our nominated Staff Governor for Safeguarding is Matt Hutchings.

We aim to work in partnership with parents to help each child achieve their full potential and make a positive contribution.

The procedures, which we follow, have been laid down by the Buckinghamshire Area Child Protection Committee, and the school has adopted a Child Protection Policy in line with this for the safety of all.  If you want to know more about our procedures or the policy, please speak to one of the Safeguarding Team.

Please find below details about our Safeguarding Team within the school and our September 2023 Child Protection Policy.

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact our DSL's (Amy Douglas and Nicky Waugh) or DDSL (Alison Tolmie) on 01753 644403 or head@dropmore.school
