INTER-HOUSE COMPETITION
Our inter-house competition is an enjoyable highlight of our end of term events, with the children and adults of each house competing in a carousel of 4 activities while scoring points for their house. The winning house has the honour of being awarded the Sports Cup for that term.
SPORTS DAY
Sports day takes part at the end of the summer term. Our Sports Day is split in 2 parts: the children take part in a carousel of 4 activities set out on our wonderful field. Parents follow their child around as they complete the activities to provide enthusiastic support and encouragement. This is followed by flat races. Our tradition is to finish the event with a parent race, where parents compete for their child’s house. The Sports Cup is awarded to the winning house in a ceremony at the end of this fun filled event.
COUNTRY DANCING FESTIVAL
The country dancing festival takes place on the first Thursday of July, at Dropmore. Seven small infant schools from across the county visit us for an afternoon of dance and tradition: Coleshill, Lee Common, Hyde Heath, Little Missenden, Jordans, Denham and Fulmer all take part in this wonderful event.  We are very lucky to be able to host such a festival.  It is so special to have a field full of young children dancing and performing in front of a large audience.
VISITING ATHLETE
This year we took part in the Sports for Schools scheme to bring a top athlete to our school to encourage children to be more physically active. We were thrilled to welcome Steve Frew who ran an energetic and fun fitness circuit with the children. Afterwards they were given the opportunity to ask questions. They were very keen for Steve to demonstrate some of his skills!
