Brooklands Museum

31st January 2018
We had a wonderful day at Brooklands Museum, despite the wet start to the day. It meant that we almost had the museum to ourselves, which was nice.
We started the day with a ‘Journeys by Air’ workshop, which involved walking around the site, learning about the history of aviation. After that we were split in 3 groups for a carousel of activities. We visited the aircraft factory, made loopy gliders (special paper airplanes) and some of us visited the bus museum.
After lunch we went aboard the Brooklands Concorde, which was quite special! We had time to go onto several other airplanes on the site: passenger planes, a freight plane, a bomber plane and one plane even had bedrooms! Time flew and before we knew it, it was time to get back onto the coach.
The children’s behaviour was immaculate as always. Thank you to our staff and our adult helpers: Miss Moore, Mr Gray, Mr Faulks and Mr Gladwin for an amazing day!
