Last Day of Spring Term

20th March 2020
On Wednesday the government announced that schools were to close at the end of the week, in an attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Sadly a lot of events and activities had already been cancelled, but we were not going to cancel our annual Easter Egg hunt, traditionally on the last day of term. The children were told during assembly that there were easter eggs to be found, because they had been so brilliant at following the school rules. They have never put their mile-a-day shoes on so fast! We enjoyed helping others and all found our egg in the end.
The rest of the day was spent preparing the children for their home learning journey.
Staff were overwhelmed by the kind gesture from the parents at the end of the school day, thanking them for everything in this challenging time. We would like to thank the parents for their kindness and support and hope to welcome you all back at our wonderful Dropmore soon!
