Poetry Competition 2021

27th May 2021
Due to the COVID pandemic our Poetry Competition was postponed until the summer term. All children take part in the competition by learning a poem off by heart and performing it in front of their class. This year our poems were carefully chosen to link to our topic 'Bugs Life'. The teachers choose finalists, taking into account recitation, expression, volume and performance.

The final was held on Thursday 27th June. The finalists perform in front of the whole school and 2 judges. This year the competition was judged by our Chair of Governors, Tim Wicks, and our Bursar, Rebekah Fearon.  All finalists performed incredibly well and the judges had the very difficult task of choosing three winners.  Videos of the performances will be available on Teams.

Well done to everyone!
